The above photo apparently is quite rare. I just lucked up to find it... It almost surely was taken sometime shortly after the massacre. It is looking more more less southwest and shows the front door/courtyard area. The open door is the exact same door that the Romanovs walked through on that fateful summer night towards the cellar room, which was at the other end of the house. The soldiers outside are almost certainly White Russian. The Whites overtook Ekaterinburg less that two weeks after the regicide, at which time the Cheka was already long gone.
